The Man With the View

Isaac Derkach is a student at Anderson University of Anderson, Indiana. Majoring in Commercial Music with a minor in Creative Writing, Isaac hopes that his time at Anderson University will guide him through as many stepping stones as possible in launching a career in the music industry. Be it as a musician, performer, writer, or businessperson, Isaac is open to the winds of change and to voyaging wherever he is led.

When away from the classroom, Isaac can often be found neck-deep in some kind of musical something or other. Self-taught on four instruments, Isaac can be found playing auxiliary keys/synthesizer at local churches, playing hand percussion for local musical ensembles, singing in the Anderson University Chorale, and acting on the Byrum Hall stage. He is also a profuse songwriter with an ever-expanding digital library.

Isaac does have merit for his work. Competing at the Indiana AG Fine Arts Festival, Isaac has earned superior scores for his poetry, alternative percussion skills, and arranging, the crowning jewel of these achievements being his winning of the Modern Hymn category in 2015.
